7th TRUST Project Meeting
Barcelona
5-6 Sept 2024
The Partners of the TRUST Project, coordinated by Francesca Spigarelli from Università degli Studi di Macerata, will meet on 5-6 September in Barcelona for the 7th Scientific Board and Steering Committee Meeting.
The meeting, organized in collaboration with the partner ESELEOS, will allow knowledge exchange among the partners and boost stakeholder engagement, through the following events:
-> 5 Sept | 5th brokerage #event aimed at presenting two case studies of real #blockchain projects and the 4th #seminar on transversal skills devoted to the topic of #genderequality
-> 6 Sept | Trust Breakfast will take place in an informal atmosphere followed by an in-depth national #workshop, both dedicated to local #policymakers, public administrations and businesses.

Workshop | “Role of TRUST in the implementation of digital technologies: blockchain technology and artificial intelligence in smart cities”

This workshop aims at investigating the role of trust in the implementation of digital technologies by means of an interdisciplinary approach, including engineering, economic, legal considerations. The focus will be on the use of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Technology (BCT) in Smart cities and in particular in smart energy systems, as means to optimize energy trading and managing. They are key technologies for energy transition that require to face technological challenges for their implementation (e.g. cyber security), but they also rise further critical issues about how to secure the trust process in terms of requirements of the legal framework, technical applications and economic/business conditions. Contributions can deal with, but are not limited to, cyber-security, BCT in peer to peer energy trading, artificial intelligence methods for energy supply coordination, etc.

Researchers Attilio Della Pietra, Giorgia Vulpiani, Chiara Iorio, Gabriel Faustino Santos, and Katia De Blasio of the Università degli Studi di Macerata, who went on mobility with the TRUST project, will discuss their secondment and present the topics studied, their contribution to the project, and the results achieved. The event is organised within SHARPER, a European Researchers’ Night Project funded by the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions.
